this is a letter head and a business card with an envelope for Utrecht "art supplies store" in kansas city. I did it in Photoshop. I used a watercolor brush in the logo and I used it in the letter head also.

In studio techniques class, I learned about illustrator, Photoshop, and some other programs.
I found that the most useful program is Photoshop. before this class I thought that I only use photoshop for Pictures and Photos that I wanna play with. but I was really wrong.
one of the things that I liked and learned is Watercolor techniques in Photoshop, which will really help me in my major, Graphic design.
I believe the more techniques you know the more opportunities you have to create a successful design.
Now, I know enough about the brush tool, and how to use it in a sophisticated way to make my Photoshop layers looks like a real canvas with watercolor brushstrokes.

I'm done with my first Project. I wrote my name is Arabic but in a calligraphy way.

(STUDY)

I worked in Photoshop, with different kind of brushes, and textures. I like the artist's techniques and I tried to apply it in my study piece.
when I first picked the painting I thought its going to be easy, but its really not with all the different strokes, colors, and textures.

During the Middle Ages, the Muslims respected calligraphy as the highest art form because the Qur'an was written in Arabic and it repre

sented the word of God. So calligraphy decorated the mosques and holy books of Islam. Writing was not only an artistic expression, it was a religious expression as well.

Over the centuries Arabic calligraphy expanded to include different styles of writing. Just like in English where there are many kinds of handwriting (printing, cursive, and even "graffiti style" writing), many respected writing styles in Arabic developed.

The typical tools for a calligrapher included reed and brush pens, scissors, a knife for cutting the pens, an ink pot, and a sharpening tool. The reed pens were from 9.5 to 12 inches in length with a diameter of about a half-inch.

So I worked as you can see on an Arabic Calligraphy in Adobe illustrator, I used the Blob Brush tool mostly. When I first started it was a little bit hard ,but it was getting easy as I'm working on it. I did it with a black background ,but when I uploaded it it changed the color to grey I have no idea why.
